Active in the security industry for almost three decades, including having completed US-led Special Program for Embassy Augmentation Response (SPEAR) training, Shayne’s vast experience in the private sector and government security encompasses manpower-based security operations – such as celebrity protection and crowd control at movie premieres along with Anti-Piracy and Privacy Protection – and security electronics.

As a 100% Australian-owned family business, ISC partners with other industry leaders to empower clients to take control of their own security.
Serving clients all across Australia, the dedicated ISC team also works in collaboration with three A1-graded control rooms – the highest accreditation possible from the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) – to provide 24-hour monitoring, 365 days of the year.
Unlike some security companies, ISC realises monitoring is an essential part of the security solution and so does not rely on subcontractors for this key task.
About Shayne Eather
The former General Manager of Queensland Security Rangers, Shayne Eather who has been providing security solutions to clients for more than 30 years and is now the driving force behind ISC.
The driving force behind the success of Queensland Security Rangers, established originally in 1998 under the banner of Forest Lake Security Rangers to service the security requirements of Brisbane’s new Forest Lake development, Shayne continually sought to expand services to cater for the growing security requirements of the southeast Queensland region. This included the opening of the first purpose-built Grade A1 monitoring centre, under Shayne’s expert management, in 2008.
Queensland Security Rangers was sold to VIP Security Services Pty Ltd in 2017 prior to an agreement being made with Threat Protect mid-2019 to license it back to Shayne under the ISC banner.
Shayne is a National Security Association of Australia (NSAA) member and holds the following security accreditations:
- Certified counterterrorism practitioner
- SPEAR Systems PDR Fundamentals coach certification
- Australian Cabling Registration Services (ACRS) Master Technician with open licence
- Various manufacturer accreditations including TECOM, Hills, NESS, Bosch, Dahua, DSC, HikVision, ZKTeco, Almond and Videofied
- Commercial Helicopter License
For more than 15 years, Shayne has been giving back to the community as a frontline Senior Specialist serving with Emergency Management Queensland and the SES for which he has received many accolades including the 2011 Queensland Premier’s Medal and 2011 Ipswich Mayor Award for National Disaster and Emergency Service Assistance relating to his efforts in response to the 2011 floods. Shayne has also recently joined the Rural Fire Service. There are many well-known corporate clients for whom Shayne has provided security consultancy spanning many years, including:

Helping the homeless
ISC always seeks to give back to the community and has established a partnership with Pay A Sack Forward, which aims to support those experiencing homelessness in Australia through the distribution of ‘Survival Sacks’.
